The Barbados Draughts Association is offering some nice prizes at their national tournament this year:
the masters champ gets $250 and an MSI 7inch Android tablet, and the majors champ gets $200 and a lunch cruise from Sail Calabaza.

reported they are most likely going.
Got this email from Michael Holmes, June 30,2013 "Erin presenting the Barbados National Championship Trophy to Jack Francis."
Here are some pictures they took as Erin presented the trophy to Jack and
others. She was asked by the BDA president ahead of time to present the trophy.
Desmond received the 2nd place price for Ron as he did not go to the front to
get his prize.
They also presented to Erin a cup with her name on one side and the BDA
(Barbados Draughts Association) logo on the other side. They gave me a special
plaque in appreciation for being an out of the country participant.

In front of a large audience which braved the weather to attend the final of the 2013 Barbados National Draughts Tournament, Jack Francis defeated Ronald “Suki’ King to become the new champion of draughts in Barbados. Jack achieved victory in the final game of round two to clinch victory against his fiercest rival, and ultimately rise to the pinnacle of the sport where he has been a dominant player for over two decades. |
